Trent Reznor announces new Nine Inch Nails material for 2016

Trent reznor

Fans of the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails are in luck. Through the most concise of tweets, Trent Reznor, leader of the band, announced that Nine Inch Nails to return next year with new material and without specifying anything else.

This announcement fills us with doubts for a reason. Earlier this summer, in an interview for Rolling Stone, Trent Reznor spoke about the state of hiatus Nine Inch Nails was in, due to being totally focused on the current side of Apple Music. Reznor, though commented about having been "Composing new music", made it clear that "Let's not expect anything in the short term", so for now we will not know if this return will be with a new album or if we will have to settle for a single.

In his interview for Rolling Stone last summer, Trent Reznor already gave some clue regarding this new music: This is not an album that I am trying to finish in a month. This is more about groping in the dark and seeing what sounds interesting. It is good to do this every few years, to try, reinvent, discover and learn about yourself and what you find exciting as an artist ».

So we can only wait to receive new news about the return of Nine Inch Nails. It would not be bad to start the new year with a single presentation, that you expect with Trent Reznor always tend to be quite long and heavy. The last album published by Nine Inch Nails was 'Hesitation Marks', in 2013, in which there were balls of the stature of 'Copy of A'.
