Bowie is Documentary

Last Thursday, November 27, the documentary film was presented in Spain exclusively (and for the only time) 'David Bowie is…', an anthological tour that portrays the recent exhibition about the British artist that was promoted by the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London. Presented in an innovative format, this exhibition (and the recent documentary) reflects Bowie's diverse creative processes throughout his long career. A historical tour that instead of following a chronological order, takes place on the story of a series of objects, manuscripts and collaborators close to the mythical 'White Duke'.

The documentary takes the viewer on an extraordinary tour of Bowie's creative universe through special guests, such as the legendary Japanese fashion designer. Kansai Yamamoto or Jarvis Cocker, among other collaborators of the artist, who invite you to explore the exciting stories that hide some of the key objects that make up the career of the notable British artist.

'David Bowie is…', was filmed during the closing night of the exhibition at the London museum and was directed by British director Hamish Hamilton. The exhibition has been the most successful and profitable in the history of the V & A museum and its remarkable success has made it a traveling exhibition that has already passed through Toronto, São Paulo, Berlin and its last stop at the MCA of Chicago where it will remain until the first week of 2015.
