The Who launch application designed for virtual reality (3D)

To the fans who want to celebrate the 50 years of the band The Who, the British group has just announced that they will do it in an unprecedented way, just by downloading a special application for Apple's IOS and Android launched last week. The Universal Music label and the software company Immersive, presented the so-called 'The Who Immersive App', a new virtual alternative that joins the launch of their recent compilation album The Who Hits 50! and the next tour that the British group will undertake in a few weeks.

Through a press release, the band described the new app: «The Who Immersive App it is a true three-dimensional experience, totally alive that transmits originality, full of energy and extreme musicality, and that at the same time rediscovers the rebelliousness of The Who ».

From its website the British band invited its followers: "Download the app for free and enter a 3D world modeled on momentous places and moments in the rock group's career that will awaken the adolescent who still lives in the band's fans". From the web it was also explained that this application will be launched initially for mobiles and tablets, but that it will soon have a version designed for virtual reality devices Oculus Rift as soon as these are presented to the market in 2015.
