Spanish producers get angry with Netflix

Netflix

Netflix has arrived in Spain and has not maintained contact with Spanish film producers. And this is something that has pissed off the bosses a lot. Ramon Colom, president of this association, has declared that they do not even pay attention to them and that they are obliged to comply with the laws in this country.

The General Law of Audiovisual Communication was approved in 2010. This regulation obliges content distribution channels and platforms to pay 5% of the previous year's income in series, cinema and TV movies. This money amounts to 6% in the case of public ones.

They argue from the side of the producers that investing in this way has benefited other firms. They believe that with this it is possible to make more cinema.

On the other side are the marks outside. Netflix executives want to discuss the issue. But they say they don't know with whom. There is also the fact that they are taxed in the Netherlands and this, they say, keeps them from complying with these laws in our country. This is something that other brands like Apple and Amazon do.

It seems that in terms of what to produce they have spoken about it. And it is that Netflix has plans to produce Spanish series, but they do not know when. But this will be an issue that we are all very aware of. The followers of the house will be wanting to know more about such a pleasant possibility.

It is clear that this issue is highly controversial. And both parties will have to reach an agreement. And you will see Netflix if it is profitable to broadcast series in Spain. Because in the event that they have to pay a cost that does not suit them, I suppose that it will be enough to close the domain.es. And to take the Spanish producers and viewers as sack.
