Smashing Pumpkins release single preview for upcoming album

Smashing Pumpkins

A few days ago the Smashing Pumpkins premiered a new song, 'Being Beige', a work that has led us to suppose that the new thing for the band from Chicago (USA) will be a return to the sound of their first works. This new song is part of his next album, 'Monuments To An Elegy', an album that will be released on December 9th.

'Monuments To An Elegy' It will be the eighth studio album by the Smashing Pumpkins, a work released two years after their last album, 'Oceanía' (2012). The album was recorded entirely in Chicago along with guitarist Jeff Schroeder (in the group since 2007) and Mötley Crüe's drummer, Tommy Lee. It has been produced by Howard Willing, known for having first worked with the group on the 'Adore' sessions, and Corgan and Schroeder himself also collaborated on the production.

'Monuments To An Elegy' has been mixed by David Bottrill and mastered by Howie Weinberg, who also collaborated working on some of the most memorable classics of Smashing Pumpkins from the XNUMXs. This new album will be the first of two releases that the band has planned in the coming months, since Corgan originally wanted to release a double album, but ultimately preferred to make two separate editions.
