Sick Love, the new animated video from Red Hot Chilli Peppers

sick love

Although Hollywood appears to be a city full of glamor and celebrities, the Red Hot Chili Peppers want to unmask that myth with the music video for their latest single: 'Sick Love'.

The animated video clip for 'Sick Love' has been directed and illustrated by singer-songwriter Beth Jeans Houghton, who has decided to show the more surreal and grotesque side of the film mecca, showing a young Australian who falls in love with this Californian city through television.

The video tells how the young woman leaves her suburban lifestyle to escape to Los Angeles in the hope of finding a new lifestyle, but soon realizes that all that glitters is not gold. As soon as the young woman arrives in Los Angeles the video becomes twisted and bizarre, with strange characters, like news anchors starting to vomit green bile on each other, people at parties turning into monstrous villains, heck watching. over the shoulders of everyone telling others what they want to hear, and even the head of Anthony Kiedis, leader of the group, which ends up being cut off by a huge spider that had previously become intimate with him.

'Sick Love' is the third promo single from Chili Peppers' latest album, 'The Getaway', cut that was published on December 4; from this album the hit 'Dark Necessities' was previously released as the first track in early May; in second place came 'Go Robot', in September, in addition to the broadcast songs 'We Turn Red' and the track that gives the album its title.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are wrapping up 2016 with their European concert dates, and will be for most of the first half of 2017 touring North America with their shows.
