After the rumors that pointed to Justin Timberlake, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds as final candidates to take the lead in The Green LanternHas been Reynolds who finally confollowed the paper.
As reported Slash Film and Variety, the actor of Blade trinity has been selected to give life to the superhero of the factory DC Comics, in one of the projects that arouse more enthusiasm among fans, because of the charisma that the character displays.
Reynolds will get fully under the skin of Hal Jordan / The Green Lantern that the studies have been developing for a long time Warner Bros. There are still no certainties but the production team hopes to start filming before the end of the year, trying to comply with the release date, scheduled for June 17, 2011. Filming will take place in Sydney, Australia, and several details have yet to be finalized, like the rest of the cast.
Given the characteristics of the character, there is talk of a generous budget of 150 million dollars. The film will be directed by Martin Campbell and the script was commissioned to Greg Berlanti (creator of the Everwood series), Marc guggenheim (Law & Order) and Michael Green (Smallville, Heroes).
