This week the new studio album by the French DJ was released David Guetta, under the title of 'Listen', a work that comes three years after his successful album 'Nothing But The Beat'. The Frenchman's sixth studio album comes preceded by the good reception on the main charts of the album's first cut, 'Dangerous', a single presented last October that featured vocalist Sam Martin and a video clip Directed by well-known filmmaker Jonas Åkerlund and garnered 13 million views on YouTube.
According to the press release issued by his record label, Parlophone, 'Listen' is “Most sophisticated and unexpected work by the French DJ to date. Guetta has changed his way of producing, thinking in a more traditional way, thinking of songs. Songs that have been initially composed with a guitar or piano, and a voice, to later be produced. This album is designed to take risks, and the result is spectacular ”.
Guetta himself gives details about Listen explaining: “I could have chosen to repeat the style that has become so successful for me, but I wanted to grow as a producer and push myself to the limit. I tried new ideas, out of my comfort zone. Create songs that are perfect to be played by a DJ, or played by a rock band, or an orchestra. I worked with piano, violins, guitars, and later I mixed them with electronic elements. Too is my most personal album lyrically, that's why I've titled it 'LISTEN'. Of course it is also for dancing, but in reality it is made from the heart ".
