Molins de Rei 2014: Review of "Berkshire County" by Audrey Cummings

Berkshire County

«Berkshire County»By Audrey Cummings has been the film in charge of giving the starting signal to the official section of the Molins de Rei Horror Festival, a contest that opens as a member of the European Federation of Horror and Fantasy Film Festivals.

The film is about a home invasion manual, with many tints of slasher, or what is the same a home invasion with serial killers.

"Berkshire County" tells the story of a teenage girl, played by Alysa King, who presented the film in the Catalan contest, which after being recorded having sex with a high school classmate at a party, becomes the target of all the ridicule of his classmates. On Halloween night, she would rather babysit than go out so they can keep sinking her. Secluded in a mansion on the outskirts and in charge of two children, she will suffer the persecution of some masked men who are not exactly looking for candy.

Despite some inconsistencies in the script as the story has already been told hundreds of times, "Berkshire County" is very well executed and perhaps the greatest achievement is that its director Audrey cummings, debuting in the feature film, gives a more feminine point of view than usual in the genre.

Rating: 5 / 10
