Following Stephen Chow's goodbye, it has been Michel Gondry the one hired to direct the film «the green Hornet«. For those who are not very aware of this title, it implies the adaptation to the cinema of the mythical television series, starring in those years by Van Williams and Bruce Lee.
The razor-eyed story introduces us to Britt Reid, a healthy and compliant journalist with his work, who masks himself and fights crime at night, under the name of The Green Hornet, which would come to be «The green abyss«, Accompanied, of course, by his faithful friend and assistant, Kato, an expert in martial arts.
A kind of Batman, with the luxury of Karate. And the name for a long time shuffled for the prominence is that of Seth Rogen, who is everywhere doing all things possible. Here, he will supposedly star in it, already being a co-author of the script, along with Evan Goldberg.
The filming will begin next summer, and its premiere is expected for June 25, 2010.
