'Mama', the co-production between Spain and Canada directed by Andy Muschietti, played by Jessica Chastain (Annabel), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Lucas), Megan Charpentier and Isabelle Nélisse, is a horror story whose script has been written by Neil Cross, Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, based on the homonymous short film directed in 2008 by Muschietti himself.
The synopsis of 'Mama' places us in the day his father killed his mother and sisters Victoria and Lilly disappeared in the forest near the urbanization where they lived. Their uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend Annabel (Jessica Chastain) have searched for them incessantly for five years. When the impossible happens and the girls appear in a half-ruined cabin, the couple begin to wonder if someone else has not arrived at their house accompanying the girls.
