This week 'Laura Navidad', Laura Pausini's new work, has gone on sale worldwide It represents the first Christmas album of his career and includes swing versions of popular Christmas carols in various languages.
Released on November 4, 2016 through the Atlantic Records (Warner Music) label, 'Laura Navidad' ('Laura Xmas' in its English version) has the production of Pausini herself together with Patrick Williams, who accompanied the singer with her orchestra throughout the new work. The Italian artist recently revealed to the press that one of her most cherished professional dreams is fulfilled with Laura Navidad, since with this album she will be able to share with her audience a piece of this tradition so deeply rooted in her family roots.
Pausini confessed about this family tradition: «As a child, during every week of Christmas Eve, I shared this celebration closely with my sister and my friends, and every day we went to the church in my neighborhood where we all sang in a choir. Every day we brought new songs to sing together ».
Pausini also said that this idea of editing his Christmas album has kept it since he conquered fame and in those years he proposed to his then record company to produce a Christmas album, but his idea was rejected on the grounds that the album would not be successful in the Italian market. Also in 2005, when he had the idea of producing an album with swing-style themes, he also did not receive approval from his label.
Finally in 2016, Pausini has finalized two old projects in 'Laura Navidad', album that includes Christmas classics such as' It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas', 'Va A Nevar', 'Jingle Bell Rock', 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas',' Jingle Bells', 'Blanca Navidad', ' Merry Christmas' or 'Silent Night'.
