After some extensive negotiations, in which one party was not entirely convinced to make a remake, Finally, producer Neal Moritz and Columbia Pictures reached an agreement, so the sci-fi classic Total Recall will have its modern version.

For now everything is in diapers, but the studies involved hired the services of Kurt Wimmer (Ultraviolet, Equilibrium) which will script the remake from the 1990 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger at the time. Wimmer he is currently working on the script for the thriller Salt, but apparently he will be able to write both scripts in parallel.

The new Total Recall will feature Neal Moritz production (Original Films), and will continue to be inspired by the novel by Philip K Dick, although the changes to adapt it to the times that run will be inevitable. The film released in the nineties, recounted the life of un simple worker from Earth, in 2048, who underwent an implant of a fictitious memory, in a not very transparent company, called Recall.

No release date or start of production, let's hope a tape a little darker than the one performed by Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone.
