Today the co-production of the United States, Mexico, France and Belgium entitled "Julia", Directed by Erick Zonca and inspired by John Cassavetes' "Gloria," the film centers on Julia (Tilda Swinton), a 40-year-old woman, alcoholic, manipulative, distrustful and a liar.
Between vodkas, Julia survives with jobs that earn a pittance. Despite her loneliness, she maintains a good relationship with Mitch, an old boyfriend who tries to help her. But Julia ignores his efforts. Pressed by desperation and financial need, she is forced to commit a crime (the kidnapping of a child), the unexpected outcome of which will force her to flee.
