Much has been said about the sequel to Tron: Legacy, something that seems to have been started again. From Disney They've been developing the script for the Tron sequel since the premiere a couple of years ago.
This project, despite having premiered the animated series, already seemed to have reached a dead end, mainly because it was because the results at the box office were not as expected.
Alan Horn, who is in charge of Disney Studios, sees this sequel as one of the main priorities for this study and everything indicates that Jesse Wigutow will be responsible for writing the last draft of the script that is progressing by leaps and bounds.
The person in charge of directing the new installment will be Joseph Kosinski, director of Tron: Legacy, although he has a very tight production schedule since he is currently finalizing the post-production of the science fiction film Oblivion, with Tom Cruise as the protagonist. We will think that the third installment is better than its predecessor because it could turn out to be a real fiasco for Disney.
