In mid-September 2014, an extremely nervous Jeff Lynne appeared on stage at the massive concert in London's Hyde Park., in what would be the first presentation of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) since the group broke up in 1986.

That night he exploded with joy as the first notes of 'All Over the World' sounded, when 50 thousand attendees were seen singing this old ELO classic from the soundtrack of the movie 'Xanadu'. Since that event, Jeff Lynne and his Electric Light Orchestra have managed to revalue their name and the legacy of their successful band.

This month Jeff Lynne's ELO has made headlines again with the sales of the compilation 'All Over The World - The Very Best Of', which last week managed to reach the No. 1 position on the British Official Albums Chart of LP's, more than a decade after its original release. The compilation of greatest hits has managed to exceed one million copies sold after the presentation of Jeff Lynne at the last Glastonbury festival at the end of June.

In recent days, 'All Over The World' moved from # 7 to # 1 on the UK chart, achieving its first chart top in 35 years. Previously ELO reached the top of the charts in 1979 with the multi-platinum 'Discovery' and with 'Time' in August 1981. “Thirty-five years between the two number one! I am totally amazed. Thanks to everyone who has made this new success possible, ”Jeff Lynne told reporters recently.

'All Over The World - The Very Best Of ELO' is a greatest hits anthology released in June 2005 by Sony Music, and it brings together the main singles of the legendary British band, including 'Don't Bring Me Down', 'Xanadu', 'Hold On Tight', 'Mr. Blue Sky 'or' Confusion ', among others. After ELO's participation in the last Glastonbury festival and the new number one, the band has sold out the tickets for their ten concert tour around Europe over the next few weeks.
