The virtually unknown Taiwanese actor Jay Chou took on the role of Kato, what will interpret Bruce Lee in its beginnings, in the film adaptation of The Green Hornet, or the Green Hornet, as it was known in Latin America.
Columbia Pictures, owner of the rights, already has the almost complete main cast: Joining Chou will be comedian Seth Rogen (will play the Hornet), the beautiful Cameron Diaz, the popular Nicolas Cage and Edward James Olmos.
The popular character emerged in the 30s in the then recent radio medium, will be brought to the big screen by the brilliant filmmaker Michel Gondry, after the superhero went through an infinity of genres and formats, such as comic, tv and cinema.
To write the script was hired the services of Rogen and Even Goldberg (Superbad, Peneapple Express). The film is expected in the United States for on July 9, 2010.
