Gustavo Dudamel, the youngest orchestral conductor in the world yesterday directed a concert given for La Divina Pastora, a virgin who produces the largest processions in Latin America, gathering several hundred thousand people throughout the day.
The concert was held in the Cathedral of Barquisimeto, a city located 350 kilometers west of Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and they played the ninth symphony of Beethoven wonderfully (as always) in honor of the virgin.
During the presentation, Dudamel, born in Barcelona, said: "As a musician and son of this musical land, I pay you humble homage with my colleagues for all the inspiration."
