Goyer to direct Magneto film

According to Variety magazine, David S. Goyer will be in charge of carrying out one of the X Men spinoffs, in this case Magneto, the arch-enemy of the X-Men for years and years in the Marvel comic. In the cast the regulars of the mutant trilogy, at least those who have confirmed it, Sir Ian McKellen as Eric Lensherr, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier and Rebeca Romjin as Mystique. In addition, Goyer will give a twist to the draft that Sheldon Turner had already prepared.

The fact that Goyer takes charge of the script in addition to directing at least gives a break to fans of the most famous mutants in cinema, because he has commissioned several adaptations (in fact, he is probably the one that has made the most adaptations) of the world of cinema. comic. The best of Blade (where he also directed the third installment with some success), and especially the collaborations with Nolan in Batman. There is also some speck of dust like the one in the movie that ended up being made for television about Nick Fury, where the main role was had by neither more nor less than David Hasselhoff. Rumor has it that he is writing the script for Flash, DC's fastest hero.

The other spinoff of the X Men is of course Wolverine, the true architect of success (both in the cinema and in the comic, although many read this and put their hands on their heads) of The X-Men, and ultimately the ascension to Hugh Jackman's stardom. There is no director in the project yet, but there is a screenwriter, David Benioff, who once again lives up to what he wrote in The Last Night (25th hour), one of the best Spike Lee films for my taste, it may take the Canadian mutant to heights beyond the purely commercial.
