Yoko Ono and The Flaming Lips have teamed up again to recreate Ono and John Lennon's classic 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)', a single that has been included in the Christmas compilation 'All Is Bright', a playlist of 40 online songs offered by the Amazon Prime platform, and that was published in recent days. While Lennon and Ono's original version is a simple Christmas theme reinforced by a background children's choir, the Flaming Lips have turned this classic into a surprising psychedelic Christmas carol.

'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' It is part of the 43 Christmas themes included in the online compilation 'All is Bright', a digital playlist that is available on Amazon Prime for free for members of the shopping platform. This collection features numerous Christmas classics performed by well-known artists such as Lucinda Williams, Amanda Palmer, the Tom Tom Club, Ladyhawke and Brandi Carlile; plus Liz Phair, Anna Nalick, Blondfire and Ruby the RabbitFoo, artists who have contributed new songs.

During the next winter Amazon will be releasing behind-the-scenes audiovisual material of the recordings, live performances and exclusive interviews with the outstanding artists who have participated in the compilation. 'All is Bright'. The Flaming Lips had previously collaborated with the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band for the recording of their Christmas song 'Atlas Eets Christmas', in late 2011.
