That same year he also premiered "Hierro 3", an extraordinary film with which he won the Silver Lion for Best Director at the Venice Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Award and the Golden Spike for the best film at the Seminci in Valladolid.

In 2005 he shot "El arco" and in 2006 "Time", which was presented at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival where she won the award for best makeup.

In 2007 he premiered "Aliento", a film that opted for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

The first decade of the XNUMXst century is closed by Kim Ki-duk with "Dream", after this tape, three years go by without shooting.
