Emerging City 2010: Chronicle of day 3

Already once inside the Recoleta Cultural CenterDespite being still early (a little before 5 in the afternoon), the garden and the corridors of the place are seen with permanent traffic. The audience, which will grow as it gets dark, is notoriously young, with a strong indie underground accent.

Outside the halls, on the terrace in the center, a stage set up especially for the festival awaits the arrival of Amel, whose show is scheduled for 17. Punctual, and with the sun setting on the horizon, they go on stage. Presentation with a megaphone, and the first topic starts. With traditional training, the proposal of Amel is based on a pop rock with half-time songs, lyrics of encounters and disagreements (of all kinds, not just love affairs), and a fairly tight sound. Just in the second or third theme, with Radio Toulouse, they get the audience to start to light up.

After 20 minutes of 17, Amel continues playing, but he is about to start Satan Dealers, the band we came for. Returned indoors, and in a much more rocky environment (in the background it sounds My Hero de foo Fighters), about 50 people are waiting for the garage dose of the festival. Without being begged, the Satan appear, put on the instruments, and start off. Adrian Outeda & Cía they have a habit of not talking too much, just touching and touching. Thus, in a short show (a little over half an hour), they play 7 or 8 songs, but it serves to leave a good impression on people who did not know them. The list of topics included Se paraliza en mi, My favorite rock star, Black Hunter, White Hunted, Luces, They try to shoot but they miss and some others that are part of his latest production, Live, recorded at the late 2009 performance at Club Roxy Live Bar.

With 10 years of career, Satan Dealers It has been confirming in all this time that it is one of the most interesting groups in Argentina, with regard to the raw rock that it knew how to install stooges in the 70s.

With the melodies of Satan Dealers still playing in the air, and the audience dispersing again, we return to the terrace, where it is now playing So bionic. To get a better view, you have to walk a bit, since attendance has grown considerably. The first thing that stands out is the huge female audience that, it is clear, came specifically to see the quartet. Reminiscent of the Quartet of Nos (several lyrics are full of rhymes, although without reaching the extreme of the Uruguayan band), and Drooling (that harmless rebellion), Tan Biónica thrives on stories of heartbreak, nights of fun, and crushes at first sight.

Down the stage, people sing happily; and in the front line, very close to the musicians, a handful of girls do not stop jumping. The sound of Tan Biónica is catchy, danceable and joyful. The singer encourages that energy and multiplies it, with charisma and ease. Those who witnessed the show, most likely agree that, regardless of whether they like it or not, So Bionic they have all the paths open to grow.
