Depeche Mode has just announced the release of a new DVD that will bear the name 'Depeche Mode - Video Singles Collection'. This compilation of DM's videography will be released on November 11 by Sony Music Entertainment.
'Depeche Mode - Video Singles Collection' It is presented in a digipack format of 3 DVDs, a compilation of 55 original video clips of the British group that summarizes more than three decades of career, and as a bonus includes four versions of alternative videos, as well as a two-hour documentary with comments from members of the band. This new collection presents new versions of restored videos that go from 1981 to 2013 and that include hits such as 'Personal Jesus' or 'Heaven' among others.
This material has had a varied group of renowned directors, among which Anton Corbijn stands out., Depeche Mode's primary visual contributor for decades, and others like Julien Temple, DA Pennebaker, and John Hillcoat. The alternative videos included belong to the singles 'People Are People', 'But Not Tonight', 'Soothe My Soul (Extended)' and 'Stripped'.
In the press release for this upcoming release, group members commented: “Video clips have always played an essential role in the way we sought to present Depeche Mode's music to the world.
