Daniel Day-Lewis to play President Lincoln


Daniel Day-Lewis He makes fewer and fewer films but almost every time he works on one is among the favorites for the Best Actor Oscar, he can add a new nomination with his next film, entitled "Lincoln", directed by none other than Steven Spielberg.

Spielberg's statements have been as follows:

“Daniel Day-Lewis has always been regarded as one of the greatest actors of all time, from the silent era, through the golden age of cinema and even into a future time. I am grateful and excited that our paths will finally cross with 'Lincoln,' "said Spielberg. "Throughout his career, he has been an exceptionally selective actor with the material he chose," added Snider. "That makes us feel even more fortunate, as he has chosen to join us."

The film will be based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin's best-seller “Team of Rivals,” the screenplay was written by award-winning Tony Kushner.
