The renowned and talented Australian actress, Cate Blanchett, to star in Ridley Scott's new movie Robin Hood, where will the mythical Maid marian, as reported by the magazine Variety.
At first, the tape was to be called Nottingham, but later they preferred to opt for the most commercial Robin Hood. Not only was the name changed, but also the lead actress, as it was Sienna Miller and not Cate Blanchett who was going to be the couple of Russell crowe, but apparently the producers decided to look for someone older to achieve a balance with the age of Crowe.
For his part, the actor from Gladiator will return to work under the orders of Scott, embodying Robin ofLoxley, ombudsman of Nottingham, who falls in love with Maid marian.
