Bowie, Björk and Radiohead unite against climate change

Next Monday, November 30, the World Climate Summit (COP21) will be held in the city of Paris, a meeting in which all the countries of the world will discuss joint measures to save the planet from increasing climate change. A huge number of artists have asked a group of negotiators to participate in this summit, including a request from the international creative community through an open letter addressed to its organization.

In this letter, top-notch artists from around the world urge politicians to come to a real deal and "ambitious" for curb CO2 emissions (main cause of desertification and greenhouse effect) and raise awareness of the need for this measure to the entire population of the planet.

The 300 signatories have been brought together by the British non-profit organization Julie's Bicycle, which proposes creative sustainability to the world. International figures who have participated in this petition include David Bowie, Björk, Damon Albarn, Iggy Pop, Robert Plant, Bobby Gillespie, Chrissie Hynde, Leona Lewis, Guy Garvey, David Gilmour, KT Tunstall, Courtney Barnett, Andrew Bird, Jack Johnson, Damien Rice, and Henry Rollins, as well as groups like the Pet Shop Boys, Coldplay, and Radiohead.
