Alton Ellis, one of the fathers of reggae, has passed away

On Saturday the musician passed away Alton ellis, at age 70, due to lymphatic cancer. We remember that this disease had been detected in Ellis last year, and in August of this year, during a show, he vanished on stage.

Alton ellis was a key figure within the reggae for publicizing the rocksteady, a style forged during the 60s that was the beginning of what would later become traditional reggae.

Some of his most memorable themes were «I'm still in love","Dance crasher" Y "I'm just a guy«. His last place of residence was Great Britain and he had more than 20 children.
