After its success in different festivals, Tobias Nölle's directorial debut "Aloys" is about to hit our billboards.
In addition to directing it, Nölle has also written and edited it. The film has garnered praise and good reviews after passing through festivals around the world.
Among these successes in different festivals is its time at the last edition of the Berlinale, where the film was awarded the Fipresci for best film in the Panorama section.
In Las Palmas, the film received the Audience Award; and it was also awarded as best film at the New Directors New Films in New York or the Saas-Fee in Switzerland.
A disturbing argument
Regarding his plot, Aloys Adorn (Georg Friedrich) is a taciturn private detective, a lone wolf whose job is to film other people, secretly observing them and remaining invisible.
But there comes a day when Aloys drinks too much and falls asleep on public transport. When he wakes up, he realizes that his camera and tapes have been stolen. Later he will receive a mysterious call from a woman, who seems to know the whereabouts of his material.
Love can do everything and Aloys falls in love little by little with that female voice, which manages to dislodge him from the real world that surrounds him.
"Aloys" is a drama with touches of humor, and dreamlike nuances, with Georg Friedrich and Tilde von Overbeck in the main roles, which will hit our billboard next December 2.
Actually, "Aloys" tells us about a very close relationship between a son and his father who has recently passed away. When his father passes away Aloys feels a mixture of fear, monotony and routine, loneliness and insecurity. However, something seems to be going to happen in his life, and it will be very special to him.
Tobias Noelle has proven once again to achieve a perfect narrative control, as well as a harmonious and very effective aesthetic. Some say that this is the best movie of the year.
