300, beyond Greece

returns 300

Zack Snyder has confirmed that sequels to "300" they could travel in time beyond Ancient Greece. In the promotion of "Batman vs Superman", the well-known director has stated that with "300" and "300: The origin of an empire" already released, the generation of a new installment of the saga is in process, but modifying some aspects very important.

Although the previous installments have been based on the conflicts around classical Greece, and despite the fact that "300: Dawn of an Empire" left everything open for possible continuity, Snyder affirms that there are possibilities to base the new plot on other conflicts that have taken place throughout history, be it a version of the War of Independence, some of the battles that took place in China, etc.

On dates the start of the premiere is still too early, but the project is taking shape little by little. Let's remember that "300", the first part of the saga, managed to raise more than 70 million dollars the same weekend of its premiere in the United States (it had a budget of 65 million). Despite this tremendous success, the sequel did not come immediately.

"300: The Origin of an Empire" was not an easy project. But it also managed to raise 45 million dollars in the United States and 132 million dollars worldwide, when it had an initial budget of 100 million. Everything seemed to indicate that the doors were open for the third installment, in the same plot sense. However, it seems that the new blockbuster will go on very different trails.

Innovating is not easy, in the previous installments of the saga we have already attended impressive battles on land and sea. Sullivan Stapleton, the main protagonist of the second installment, has stated that it is still too early to talk about the details of a new installment, and there is much to define.
