EMI announces that on November 20 it will launch a commemorative edition of the 20 anniversary from "The Spirit of Wine", from Heroes of Silence, which will be titled “20th Anniversary Edition. Great Reserve ”.
It will be available on standard CD, special digipack (CD + DVD), digital download and 2 LPs (vinyl, double folder) + DVD. All versions include the original disc remixed by Dani Alcover and a DVD with a acoustic concert of MTV Latin recorded in 1996, which contains the songs 'The pond', 'Undo the world', 'Maldito duende', 'La carta' and 'La sirena varada', and unpublished images of the recording, promotion and tour filmed by Juan Valdivia and Joaquín Cardiel. The edition is completed with an extended booklet with the lyrics in English and unpublished photographs.
"The Spirit of Wine" was the third album by Héroes del Silencio, it was recorded at Gallery Studios in London with the production of Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), mixed in Metropolis and released in 1993 simultaneously in half of Europe. It was a double album, extensive, complex, clearly rock, with enigmatic lyrics, and from it came the singles' Our names', 'The pleasures of poverty', 'The wound', 'Flor de loto' and 'La sirena varada '. The presentation of the album to the media was made in Berlin (Germany) and marked the international confirmation of the band, with tours planned worldwide. With 'The Spirit of Wine', Héroes del Silencio made their first official tour of Mexico in 1994, although they had previously offered some promotional concerts in that country.
